SAFETY HARNESS
The Safety Harness and Fall Arrest course is designed to enable users to select/inspect/wear/use/store Harnesses & Lanyards correctly, in line with current legislation.
It is also applicable to those experienced operators who require refresher training.
Aim: By the end of the course, trainees will be able to: select/inspect/wear/use/store safety harnesses correctly.
COURSE CONTENT
• Safety awareness outlining the legislation and guidance involved in fall protection equipment and working at height activities.
• Guidance on the hazards involved when working at height and using fall protection equipment and how to control the risk.
• The types of Harnesses and lanyards and the correct selection of fall protection equipment.
• Pre-use equipment checks and practical instruction on correct fitting and anchorage.
• End of shift checks, and correct storage procedures.
Duration: The duration of the course is 1 day for up to 10 students. (See Training Info).
Venue: Can be carried out at our training school in Eastleigh or at an employer’s premises. (See Training Info).
Assessment: At the end of the course students will undergo a formal written test on all theoretical subjects covered and a practical assessment on their basic skills.
Accreditation: LETS certificate
Cost: Dependant on course duration and attendees.
