MEWP
The Mobile Elevated Working Platforms course is designed for the operator who requires theoretical and practical instruction at novice/basic or refresher level, in operating a MEWP.
COURSE CONTENT
• Understand the hazards involved in operating a MEWP and managing the risks.
• Guidance on the legal requirements and responsibilities involved in MEWP operations
• Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges.
• Identify and comply with manufacturer’s instructions and explain all relevant documentation
• How to carry out all pre-use and running checks.
• Driving the MEWP ensuring stability and control
• Configuring and operating the MEWP within the full working range of the equipment.
• Placing the MEWP in an out of service condition.

Duration:
Scissor lift – 1 day.
MEWP Boom (all variants) – up to 2 days for up to 3 students.
For combination courses, please enquire for an accurate assessment.
Venue: Can be carried out at our training school in Eastleigh or at an employer’s premises or site. Equipment: Students will require a serviceable and in date fall arrest harness and lanyard.
Assessment: At the end of the course students will undergo a formal written test on all theoretical subjects covered and a practical assessment on their basic skills.
Accreditation: NPORS or LETS certificate
Cost: Dependant on course duration and attendees.
