LORRY LOADER CRANE
The lorry loader crane course is designed for the operator who requires theoretical and practical instruction at basic level, in operating a lorry loader in a construction / industrial environment.
It is also applicable to those experienced operators who require refresher training.

COURSE CONTENT
• Understand the hazards involved in operating a Lorry Loader and how to control the risks.
• Understand the legal requirements involved in lifting operations
• Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges.
• How to carry out all pre-use and running checks.
• Un-pack and site the crane ready for lifting.
• Set up and lift various loads within the full working range of the crane.
• Basic slinging techniques applicable to the working range of the crane.
• Place and retrieve loads accurately from various lifting points.
• Stowing the crane correctly for road travel.
• Placing the crane in an out of service condition.
Duration: Between 1 – 4 days dependent on experience with a maximum training ratio of 3 students to 1 instructor.
Venue: Can be carried out at our training centre in Eastleigh or at an employer’s premises.
Assessment: At the end of the course students will undergo a formal written test on all theoretical subjects covered and a practical assessment on their basic skills.
Accreditation: NPORS or LETS certificate
Cost: Dependant on course duration and attendees.
